Job Summary

Operate a screed on an asphalt paver to achieve proper depth, grade, and finished cross section. Make routine adjustments and perform related tasks such as adding or removing screed extensions. Maintain, oil, grease, service, and adjust paving equipment while adhering to safety requirements under OSHA/MSHA. May assist the paving foreperson/crew, occasionally operate additional paving equipment, and report to job sites prepared to start on time.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate a screed on an asphalt paver to achieve proper depth, grade, and finished cross section.
•Make normal operating adjustments and perform related tasks such as adding or removing screed extensions.
•Occasionally operate additional paving equipment as needed.
•Maintain, oil, grease, service, and adjust equipment for normal operation.
•Adhere strictly to safety requirements and procedures and assist foreperson/crew members as required.
