Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide estimating and cost planning, including producing and presenting the final cost plan, and review with design services and the general contractor to develop cost estimates.
  • •Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle, including reconciling changes and ensuring contractor data accuracy.
  • •Coordinate cost information for cost discussions, supplier pricing, and quantities; drive engineering priorities based on cost impact.
  • •Manage cost checks, cost assessments, post-contract cost variances, change of control processes, contingency/commitment tracking, and cost auditing/valuation validation.
  • •Produce monthly cost reports, support value engineering sessions and funding data presentations, negotiate final accounts, and mentor/coach talent.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a field related to construction.
  • •Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in cost management within the construction industry.
  • •Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • •Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects of medium to high complexity.
  • •Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters (e.g., procurement routes, value management, and value engineering) and excellent communication skills.
