Job Summary

Coordinate with the Control Room Engineer/System Controller to support safe, efficient generation of electricity and steam. Monitor control equipment and key operating parameters for gas turbines, HRSGs, and steam turbines, ensuring maximum steam output and proper power/Smelter operation. Collect operational data, perform routine calculations for efficiency and electrical fault levels, initiate startups/shutdowns, and manage alarms while communicating with field operators for corrective action.

Key Responsibilities

•Coordinate with the Control Room Engineer/System Controller to execute instructions for electricity and steam generation.
•Operate and monitor the plant to ensure electrical power is safely generated and distributed for the daily operational plan.
•Observe and manage operating parameters for gas turbines, HRSGs, and steam turbines to maximize steam generation.
•Collect accurate operational data, perform routine efficiency and electrical fault level calculations, and support correct invoicing for 3rd party customers.
•Initiate plant and equipment startup/shutdowns, monitor system conditions, report alarms, and communicate with field operators/Supervisor for corrective action.

Key Requirements

•Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering field.
•5 years working experience in Power or Manufacturing industry.
•Proficiency in Computer Applications with emphasis on Microsoft Excel (Advanced Level).
•Visual Basic programming proficiency is required.
•Ability to operate and monitor power/steam plant systems safely and efficiently.
