Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and own the medium-range multi-resource demand forecast for accelerators, CPU, storage, egress, and managed services based on model roadmap and operational drivers.
  • •Run a plan-vs-reality loop by diffing planned allocations against weekly fleet occupancy, surfacing unrecorded trades and stale allocations and driving variance toward zero.
  • •Qualify each incoming capacity tranche against the forecast before signature by checking shape, region, quarter, and supporting-resource envelope constraints.
  • •Partner with Finance and cost-efficiency teams to convert the forecast into core spend drivers (≥80% of non-accelerator spend) and target savings where waste appears.

  • •Ability to build forecasting models yourself using SQL against a warehouse and Python/pandas or a proper forecasting/optimization stack.
  • •Strong understanding of data-center resource classes and how they differ (e.g., storage and egress vs. GPUs), and what constrains capacity in practice.
  • •Preference for simple, inspectable models with instrumentation to measure forecast error and improve accuracy.
  • •Knowledge of reservable capacity workflows such as reserved-capacity onboarding, private offers, or capacity commitments (preferred).
