Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and lead the annual internal control activity plan for head office operations and shared services, aligned to enterprise risk management and COSO.
  • •Design and execute risk-based control assessments across daily GL movements, People Operations, real estate administration, procurement, customer complaints (L1–L3), and physical security.
  • •Oversee entity-level controls and policy governance, including managing the policy and procedure repository and conducting periodic attestation reviews.
  • •Develop and manage KRI dashboards and remediation tracking for control deficiencies and open findings, and prepare periodic reporting for leadership governance forums.
  • •Lead, mentor, and develop the Shared Service Control Officers, including coaching, quality review, and performance management while facilitating stakeholder engagement with support teams.

Key Requirements

  • •6–8 years of experience in internal control assessments, operational auditing, or risk management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/team lead capacity.
  • •Deep practical knowledge of internal control frameworks, including COSO and ISO 31000, and familiarity with internal control principles for banking organisations.
  • •Strong operational risk management across non-core support functions such as HR, facilities, procurement, and complaints.
  • •Experience assessing physical asset governance (existence, valuation, depreciation) and purchase-to-pay / accounts payable governance.
  • •Relevant credentials: a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business Administration/Finance/Risk Management (or related) plus professional certifications (ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CFE, or other) and membership in a recognized professional body.
