Key Responsibilities

•Coordinate and supervise daily activities of 2 to 5 people.
•Study project specifications with project superintendent to plan procedures, sequencing, and scheduling for pipe installation.
•Operate assigned heavy equipment to excavate, install, and backfill large pipe and culvert.
•Inspect work sites to determine sequencing/methods and survey for hazards or safety concerns.
•Use grade-setting instruments and ensure workmanship conforms to specifications and construction schedules while establishing a safe, OSHA-compliant work environment.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required.
•At least 1 year of experience as a lead excavator operator on a civil pipeline job.
•Experience in a building materials/construction industry preferred.
•Must be 18 years of age or older and pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.
•Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, with strict adherence to safety procedures and willingness to travel/work away from home up to 50% of the time.
