Key Responsibilities

  • •Set technical direction and personally design, build, and ship critical components across ChatGPT Work surfaces, services, plugins, and connectors.
  • •Turn ambiguous customer and design-partner needs into generalizable product and technical strategy with milestones and measurable quality/adoption goals.
  • •Lead complex initiatives across Design, Research, GTM, Security, and platform teams, aligning stakeholders and driving decisions through implementation.
  • •Architect production-grade systems and establish standards for evaluation, instrumentation, security, reliability, and safe staged rollout/rollback for probabilistic AI.
  • •Own the end-to-end engineering lifecycle from problem definition through design, prototyping, production implementation, launch, feedback, and sustained iteration.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years building production software with strong product judgment.
  • •Independently architect and implement sophisticated systems across frontend, backend, APIs, data, distributed services, and enterprise integrations.
  • •Extensive experience building and operating full-stack production products using modern frontend technologies like React and TypeScript.
  • •Backend experience building services in Python, Go, Node.js, or comparable languages.
