Job Summary

Join the NPI (New Product Introduction) team to drive Design for Assembly analyses, collaborate with Design Engineering and suppliers to close mechanical assembly and process issues, and develop new backend manufacturing processes for upcoming products. You’ll lead process improvements, oversee DFA-driven quality and cost initiatives, and support both domestic and international travel to ensure seamless new product launches.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform DFA (Design for Assembly) analysis for new product mechanical assembly, and drive for non-compliance closure.
•Work with Design Engineering and suppliers to drive closure of mechanical assembly or process related issues.
•Work with Design Engineering and suppliers to develop new BE (Backend) processes / technology.
•Develop suppliers to provide best in class manufacturing processes to support new product manufacturing requirements.
•Hands-on experience in product mechanical failures troubleshooting and optimization of new product manufacturing processes.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Candidate must possess at least a Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering.
•Mechanical assembly process experience and familiarity with assembly jig / fixture design.
•Familiar with poka-yoke design and Design for Assembly guidelines / design rules.
•Familiar with statistical tools such as pFMEA, SPC, DOE.
•Willingness for domestic and international travel (when applicable).
