Job Summary

Design and build scalable backend services and APIs for an agentic AI customer experience platform. Own backend workstreams, develop reliable system integrations, and improve performance and observability for production stability. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, frontend, QA, and DevOps to deliver roadmap items, contribute to distributed, high-throughput systems, and bring strong testing and code quality to medium-to-large technical initiatives in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect and implement clean, modular, scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservice principles.
•Design database schemas and write optimized queries for RDS (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and optionally NoSQL systems.
•Integrate Kafka or RabbitMQ to build robust, loosely-coupled event-driven architectures.
•Leverage Redis or Memcached to implement high-performance caching and low-latency systems.
•Profile and tune backend performance across databases, APIs, and infrastructure, maintaining production stability with thorough unit and integration tests.

Key Requirements

•2-4 years of hands-on backend development experience in a product-based company (preferably SaaS).
•Strong expertise in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem.
•Solid understanding of relational databases (RDS, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience optimizing queries.
•Experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ for asynchronous, decoupled systems.
•Proficiency with Redis or Memcached for performance tuning and data caching.
