Job Summary

Build and operate capabilities in Wise’s Continuous Delivery platform, extending Spinnaker and creating services and integrations that help engineers deploy safely at scale. Work hands-on across discovery, design, implementation, and operations, using telemetry, reliability metrics, and engineer feedback to remove friction. Collaborate with Platform Engineering and partner teams on guardrails, shared foundations, and technical design, code reviews, and documentation.

•Design, build, and operate capabilities within Wise’s Continuous Delivery platform.
•Evolve the use of Spinnaker and contribute improvements upstream when appropriate.
•Build reliable guardrails that enable safe deployments with minimal manual effort.
•Improve shared platform foundations in partnership with other Platform Engineering teams.
•Use telemetry and feedback to understand performance and friction, and work with engineering teams on adoption of new deployment patterns.

Salary: GBP 87,500 - 111,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Strong experience building and operating production systems in Java.
•Experience designing distributed services and APIs, including testing, monitoring, and failure handling.
•Practical experience with a cloud platform such as AWS or GCP.
•Experience working with containers and an orchestration platform such as Kubernetes.
•Track record of automating operational work and building repeatable tooling. Own shared or mission-critical infrastructure.
