Job Summary

Assist the Production Supervisor with running a safe, efficient night shift production operation. Serve as a backup to the Shift Supervisor, lead shift huddles, help resolve personnel conflicts, and schedule machine assignments based on production priorities and constraints. Monitor operations for machine functionality, production volume, and adherence to safety procedures while maintaining operational and scrap records. Ensure new employees receive safety and technical training and maintain attendance/performance data.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist the Production Supervisor with the production workforce and process to ensure safe, efficient production of OES products meeting quality and customer specifications.
•Back up the Shift Supervisor by communicating with prior shift management/production manager to gather critical operational information including machine functionality, materials levels, and production data.
•Lead shift huddles to share daily production information and a safety topic to align on production priorities and ensure an efficient shift start.
•Assist in conflict resolution between personnel and schedule/communicate machine assignments based on the production schedule, highest priority needs, and labor constraints.
•Observe production operations for machine functionality, appropriate production volume, adherence to operational and safety procedures, and report issues; maintain operational data (machine downtime, material levels, scrap records) and ensure new employees receive safety/technical training.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent; or at least one month of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.
•Prior experience in production/manufacturing.
•At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role.
•Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly; able to work in a plant production environment with noise, dust, and proximity to hot equipment.
