Job Summary

Solve unique, complex mechanical engineering problems and lead conceptual, FEED, and detailed analyses and design aligned with project specifications, codes, and offshore standards. Manage complex deliverables, forecasts, and resource planning, and communicate highly complex ideas to influence outcomes. When acting as Lead Engineer, direct large mechanical engineering teams, coordinate interfaces, lead audits/reviews, and provide technical direction, mentoring, and support across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform conceptual, FEED, and detailed mechanical analyses and design per design basis, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
•Develop creative, reliable, and cost-effective solutions for complex problems as they arise.
•Manage own time and (as Lead Engineer) forecast and plan resource requirements and execution budgets.
•When acting as Lead Engineer, direct mechanical engineering teams, lead discipline design, manage scope/deliverables/schedule, and ensure interfaces and deliverables are identified.
•Prepare, review, and approve design documentation, participate in audits and design reviews, and provide technical direction and mentoring to engineers and designers.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Engineering.
•20+ years of experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultants performing detail design.
•Detailed knowledge of design techniques and analysis methods, and application of standards, codes, and guidelines for offshore work.
•Knowledgeable in project coordination and execution, including developing and managing plans to achieve business objectives.
•Preferably Registered Professional Engineer or a member of a professional engineering society as applicable.
