Job Summary

Develop, qualify, and manage key suppliers for the paint and fluoropolymer coating area. Evaluate technical requirements for new and existing products and recommend qualified materials to Design Engineering to improve cost, lead time, life, and risk. Partner with New Product Development and NPI teams to ensure engineering drawing requirements are clear, support suppliers’ involvement, and drive supplier audits, performance, and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop/qualify/manage suppliers for the paint and fluoropolymer coating area.
•Evaluate technical requirements and recommend materials to Design Engineering to improve savings, lead time, system improvements, increased life, and reduced risk.
•Work with New Product Development and NPI teams to ensure engineering drawing requirements are clear and suppliers are involved in specs review for design for manufacturability.
•Lead the supplier technical audit process, evaluate supplier performance/capability, and drive continuous improvement and systemic resolutions.
•Lead quality problem resolutions/incident management, drive root cause and corrective actions, and train other supplier engineers on audit/evaluation processes.

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: USD 133,500 - 183,500

•Strong knowledge of the paint and fluoropolymer coating subject area.
•Strong skills working with internal and external customers and suppliers.
•Ability to evaluate technical requirements of new and existing products and recommend qualified sources/materials.
•Experience collaborating with New Product Development teams on engineering drawing requirements and communicating expectations to suppliers.
•Experience leading supplier technical audits, evaluating performance/capability, and driving corrective actions/root cause resolution.
