Lead the development and execution of Material Review Board (MRB) processes for fielded UAS platforms and related hardware. Disposition nonconforming material and damaged/repaired components, create standard repair procedures and governance workflows, and ensure documentation is traceable and configuration-controlled. Partner across engineering, quality, manufacturing, supply chain, and sustainment teams to resolve production escapes, returned material issues, supplier nonconformances, and recurring hardware failures, protecting safety and fleet readiness.

Key Responsibilities

•Establish and mature MRB processes for post-production hardware, fielded assemblies, depot repairs, and sustainment nonconformances.
•Lead technical dispositions for nonconforming material, damaged hardware, returned components, field returns, production escapes, and repairable assemblies.
•Develop standard repair procedures, repair limits, inspection criteria, and disposition guidance for recurring hardware issues.
•Drive resolution of returned material analysis, production quality deficiency reports, production escape investigations, and field hardware issue reviews.
•Partner with cross-functional teams and mentor engineers to ensure dispositions are technically sound, documented, traceable, configuration-controlled, and aligned with sustainment and quality requirements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 170,000 - 260,000 annually

Key Requirements

•10+ years of experience in Material Review Board, quality engineering, manufacturing/sustaining engineering, aerospace structures, aviation maintenance, and/or complex hardware sustainment.
•Demonstrated experience dispositioning nonconforming hardware, damaged components, returned material, production escapes, and repairable assemblies.
•Strong understanding of MRB workflows, repair dispositions, inspection records, engineering documentation, and corrective action systems.
•Experience developing or approving repair procedures, rework instructions, inspection criteria, use-as-is/rework/scrap recommendations, and repair dispositions.
•Ability to interpret engineering drawings and records and apply technical judgment using safety, structural integrity, reliability, maintainability, configuration impact, and fleet readiness.
