Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma.
  • •0-2 years of road and bridge construction inspection and testing experience (or equivalent education/training/experience); Engineering Interns (EI) may be eligible without experience.
  • •Ability to attain NCDOT certifications within 90 days +/- (Concrete Field Technician, Conventional Density, Level II Erosion & Sediment Control/Storm water, QMS Roadway Technician, ABC and Borrow Pit Sampling).
  • •Ability to read and interpret construction plans and keep accurate records and compute field data.
  • •Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation/software, spreadsheets, and tools.
