Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with material suppliers to clearly communicate product requirements and ensure minimum performance criteria are defined, validated, and met.
  • •Collaborate with Design Engineering to link material characteristics to product-level performance and support efficient testing strategies.
  • •Lead development and optimization of new and existing materials to meet evolving specifications, durability expectations, and performance targets.
  • •Analyze material composition, physical properties, and processing behavior across the manufacturing lifecycle.
  • •Troubleshoot material-related issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to improve performance and process capability.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree or higher in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a related discipline within the plastics forming industry (especially injection).
  • •Minimum 8 years of engineering/manufacturing experience involving plastic forming processes; consumer products experience is a plus.
  • •Strong knowledge of plastic material properties, testing methodologies, and quality control practices.
  • •Demonstrated innovative thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
  • •Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and communicating complex information effectively.
