Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with senior GCIO management and IWPB Technology leadership to oversee financial matters, including cost reporting and target/budget interlocks.
  • •Act as financial SME/independent challenge authority to ensure Technology-as-a-service is delivered on budget and meets stretch targets.
  • •Own GCIO cost reporting provision and messaging through monthly and ad-hoc reviews with business and finance stakeholders.
  • •Collaborate with Financial Reporting and Financial Operations teams to support standardized reporting/ways of working and ensure transactions are processed correctly.
  • •Organise and lead the Financial Insights team, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to GCIO-wide enhancements and adoption of initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Lead and organise the Financial Insights team, driving high performance through training, mentoring, and performance reviews.
  • •Manage in a complex matrix environment while building long-term relationships with critical internal and external stakeholders.
  • •Provide stakeholder-facing support for GCIO cost reporting, including monthly and ad-hoc reviews and escalation of funding issues or opportunities.
  • •Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to synthesize complex information for data-driven, business-outcome decisions.
  • •Apply cost management and accounting knowledge, including experience with cost reporting, purchase orders/contracts, and operational expenses, supported by Excel and data analysis; ERP tools like Cognos, SAP, and Fusion are beneficial.
