Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage the contracting process for enterprise sales and strategic partnership deals globally.
  • •Develop and optimize standardized contracting templates, including order forms and enterprise sales terms and conditions.
  • •Draft, review, negotiate, and close complex agreements (e.g., master services agreements and related reseller/referral/finder’s fee, marketing collaboration, education benefits, and non-standard amendments).
  • •Provide first-line advice on data privacy and security, including review/negotiation of data sharing agreements and partnership liaison with the Privacy team.
  • •Partner with deal desk stakeholders (Revenue Operations and Finance/Accounting) to resolve performance issues and continuously improve playbooks, workflows, and decision-making processes.

Key Requirements

  • •LLB (Bachelor of Laws) and at least 8 years post-qualification experience as an admitted and licensed attorney in South Africa.
  • •Strong negotiation skills and proven ability to draft, negotiate, and manage a high volume of complex contracts from start to finish.
  • •Excellent business acumen and judgment to contextualize legal risk and recommend practical solutions to meet business objectives.
  • •Strategic thinking to advise cross-functional teams on contractual and legal risks and requirements while achieving business needs.
  • •Ability to improve legal operations (speed, scalability, simplification) and reduce manual processes and friction.
