Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Hold overall command and responsibility for the vessel, crew, and all onboard operations.
  • •Ensure safe navigation, manoeuvring, and operation of the vessel in coastal, offshore, and international waters.
  • •Maintain vessel readiness and seaworthiness, certification, and operational capability to meet tasking requirements.
  • •Lead emergency preparedness, response, and crisis management activities; promote a strong safety culture and manage risks.
  • •Ensure compliance with maritime legislation, Company procedures, and Safety Management Systems, including completing reporting, audits, inspections, and assurance activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a Master (Unlimited) Certificate of Competency.
  • •Have a valid ENG1 Medical Certificate.
  • •Be eligible to obtain and maintain Security Clearance (SC).
  • •Have previous command experience as Master, or significant experience as Chief Officer on commercial, offshore, government or defence vessels.
  • •Demonstrate strong understanding of maritime legislation, the ISM Code, and safe working practices, with excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
