Job Summary

Build and scale quality engineering for a rendering-heavy web application by creating reliable, risk-based automated tests. You’ll design UI and visual regression suites (DOM and canvas/WebGL/WebGPU) using Playwright and related tools, leverage AI-assisted engineering for test generation and debugging, and validate rendering performance. Work across React, C++/native layers, and CI/CD pipelines to triage issues, manage visual baselines, and improve test signal quality.

Key Responsibilities

•Build scalable automated UI test suites using Playwright/Cypress/Selenium, including component-level tests with React Testing Library or Jest.
•Create visual regression coverage for both standard DOM UI and rendering-heavy surfaces (canvas/WebGL/WebGPU), managing baselines and reviewing diffs.
•Leverage AI tools to accelerate test creation, debugging, triage, documentation, and coverage analysis while maintaining high-quality, non-flaky tests.
•Run and optimize test tiering strategies (smoke, integration, regression, nightly) to balance coverage, runtime, and PR feedback speed.
•Execute CI/CD testing workflows across environments, triage bugs across the C++/web boundary, and collaborate with developers, designers, and PMs to prioritize coverage by product risk and user impact.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 153,200 - 221,750 annually

Key Requirements

•Write and maintain automated UI test suites using Playwright (preferred) plus Cypress or Selenium, with scalable architecture like Page Object Models, fixtures, and clear locator strategies.
•Apply strong QA judgment with risk-based prioritization, identifying high-risk rendering paths, async flows, cross-browser surfaces, edge cases, and gaps between manual and automated coverage.
•Use AI-assisted engineering tools to plan, generate, refactor, debug, and validate test code while keeping outputs maintainable, trustworthy, and aligned to repo patterns and coding standards.
•Deliver visual regression testing for DOM and rendering-heavy surfaces (canvas/WebGL/WebGPU), including baseline management and diff review using tools such as Percy, Chromatic, or Storybook.
•Test across the C++/native boundary by writing C++ unit/integration tests (e.g., Google Test or Catch2) and debugging low-level issues with tools like Valgrind, AddressSanitizer, or clang-tidy.
