Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess and continuously improve Later’s security posture across applications, infrastructure, cloud environments, and corporate systems to support SOC 2 readiness.
  • •Define and implement scalable security standards, best practices, and guardrails using practical, automated, and auditable controls and evidence collection practices.
  • •Build and maintain internal security tools, automation, and services for secure development, compliance workflows, vulnerability management, and security operations visibility.
  • •Implement security controls in CI/CD pipelines (secure build/deploy patterns, scanning, dependency management, container scanning, and secret management) and support application security efforts like threat modeling and secure design reviews.
  • •Improve security observability and response readiness through logging, alerting, detection engineering, incident response improvements, and cross-functional security enablement.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 125,000 - 205,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5-7+ years as a Security Engineer or Software Engineer with a strong security focus.
  • •Strong application, infrastructure, cloud security, and secure CI/CD practices knowledge.
  • •Hands-on vulnerability management, secure software development, threat modeling, remediation workflows, and operational security improvements.
  • •Experience applying security frameworks and standards including OWASP, NIST, CIS Controls, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 in production contexts.
  • •Familiarity with cloud security platforms (AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, or GCP Security Command Center) and SIEM/SOAR for logging, detection, and incident response.
