Key Responsibilities

•Underwrite new and renewal inland marine accounts to meet local/regional targets; negotiate participation, pricing and terms with brokers; proactively manage capacity.
•Underwrite and evaluate Natural Catastrophe Accumulation; understand catastrophe modelling and scenario interpretation for relevant lines of business.
•Ensure contract certainty; utilize global pricing tools; place and bind reinsurance prior to policy inception; ensure accurate policy documentation.
•Support development and execution of regional underwriting strategy; train and coach less experienced staff; manage referrals and re-underwrite complex business as appropriate.
•Proactively contribute to acquisition and retention of business; liaise with market management and maintain strong broker/client relationships; represent AzC in market externally.

Salary: USD 77,500 - 117,125 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in Risk Management, Insurance, Business Administration, Finance or Economics; completion of a professional insurance qualification

•good understanding of inland marine products (construction, transportation, property, etc.) and regional/local markets
•ability to assess risk inherent exposures and natural hazards relevant to Inland Marine
•strong relationships with brokers and clients; ability to manage underwriting books and negotiate terms with brokers
