Key Responsibilities

  • •Support US Fresh and Packaged Meat facilities as required and collaborate with facilities teams and project engineering on capital infrastructure plans.
  • •Assist in designing refrigeration and related utilities systems (equipment selection, quotes, scheduling) and implement resolutions for refrigeration system issues.
  • •Plan and budget utilities engineering improvement projects, optimizing utility systems based on facility operating requirements.
  • •Research and test new technology, assess complex operations and systems, and support Operations management.
  • •Identify and correct deficiencies in existing systems using load, charge, and relief calculations; lead multiple efforts while following proper protocols.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and 5+ years of related experience in operations, maintenance, and optimization of ammonia refrigeration systems.
  • •Must have RETA CIRO (Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator) certification and ANSI/IIAR2 certification (or equivalent nationally recognized ammonia training program).
  • •Possess a deep theoretical understanding of industrial refrigeration systems and apply it to the role’s responsibilities.
  • •Strong reading, math, and analytical writing skills.
  • •Perform assigned tasks efficiently with minimum supervision.
