Job Summary

Conduct customer transactions with speed, accuracy, and efficiency while meeting service quality standards. Safeguard bank assets, process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments, and maintain and balance a teller station. Record sales of monetary instruments, follow account protection and safety procedures, and cross-sell bank products. Float between branch locations as needed and complete required compliance training (including BSA/AML).

Key Responsibilities

•Receive, pay out cash, and handle negotiable items, loan payments, deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
•Set up, close, and balance the teller station.
•Record sales of monetary instruments and maintain a neat, well-stocked teller area.
•Cross-sell bank products and services and open basic new consumer accounts as cross-trained.
•Assist with balancing vault/ATM/night drop/coin machine as assigned, scanning documents, applying holds/check cashing judgments, and adhering to work schedules and policies.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with emphasis on office skills (or shop skills) plus 12–18 months related experience and/or training.
•Ability to communicate effectively with customers and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group settings.
•Ability to perform basic mathematical operations using money and other forms of measurement.
•Ability to use common sense to carry out simple multi-step instructions and handle standardized situations with limited variables.
•Ability to follow limits and procedures that protect customer accounts and ensure bank safety and soundness.
