Job Summary

Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous instruction for elementary students in a fully online environment. Monitor progress through Stride K12’s learning management system, differentiate instruction based on mastery, and maintain accurate grade books while supporting academic integrity. Build strong relationships with families and respond regularly to students and learning coaches. Prepare students for standardized tests and support virtual troubleshooting while occasionally traveling for required school events.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide rich synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences in a virtual classroom environment.
•Personalize learning for all students by differentiating instruction based on student mastery.
•Monitor student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system, maintain the grade book, and make placement/promotion decisions while flagging concerns to administrators.
•Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests and maintain positive rapport with families through timely communication with students and learning coaches/parents.
•Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues, perform basic troubleshooting, and travel occasionally (about once per month / ~20%) for required school events and professional development.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 55,000 - 75,000

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree.
•Active state teaching license.
•Ability to clear required background check.
•New Mexico Department of Education Elementary School Teaching Certification (preferred) and/or proof of New Mexico license application within 7 days of the start date if certification is from another state, with an approved New Mexico teaching license within 90 days.
•Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick-and-mortar environment, including working with online learning platforms.
