Key Responsibilities

•Manage day-to-day accounting operations including A/R, A/P, revenue recognition, payroll, expenses, and taxation.
•Lead month-end close for Canadian and US entities and prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with US GAAP, including journal entry review, reconciliations, and plan-to-actual variance analysis.
•Manage financial year-end close procedures for subsidiaries, including annual financial statements and coordination with external tax consultants.
•Assist the Director of Accounting - Controller with US GAAP financial statement note disclosures.
•Research and establish company-wide accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 110,000 - 140,000

Key Requirements

•CPA designation required.
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
•5+ years of progressive experience, ideally a combination of public accounting and industry.
•Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
•Experience with NetSuite and U.S. indirect tax compliance (sales and use tax, SaaS taxation, economic nexus, and multi-state registrations) is preferred.
