Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and optimize dry etch processes to meet Micron product physical and electrical requirements.
  • •Improve process capability by reducing cost and process variability through process optimization.
  • •Collaborate with process integration and process development teams to create innovative solutions.
  • •Conduct root cause and failure mode analysis and drive vendor solutions for limitations in current hardware.
  • •Support technology development pilot manufacturing and help transfer processes to production facilities (with some domestic/international travel may be required).

Key Requirements

  • •Masters/PhD in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Material Science, Physics, Chemical Physics, Chemistry, Semiconductor engineering (or relevant major), or Bachelors in a relevant major with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • •Ability to develop and optimize dry etch processes to meet physical and electrical requirements.
  • •Working knowledge of statistics, preferably including statistical process control.
  • •Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with root-cause or model-based problem solving.
  • •Aptitude for R&D environments; data science basics and Python coding/scripting are desirable.
