Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide non-medical, short-term, solution-focused counseling to eligible children and youth of service members at assigned locations, including assessment, brief counseling, action planning, referral, and follow-up.
  • •Support staff and personnel at Child Development Centers, youth programs and camps with parent training and guidance.
  • •Deliver training and health/wellness presentations, participate in base activities, and assist with health fairs focused on children and youth.
  • •Enter counselor activity data daily via smartphone or web application while maintaining confidentiality.
  • •Establish and maintain relationships with community resources and ensure program accessibility within the installation, following line-of-sight requirements for working with children.
  • •Collaborate with installation POC to address installation needs and develop professional relationships with facility personnel.
  • •Comply with DoD protocol for duty to warn and restricted reporting, and coordinate with regional supervisors as needed.
  • •Participate in ongoing supervision, training, quality improvement initiatives, and pilot programs as directed by customer and Magellan.
  • •Complete all duties as assigned.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 59,922 - 100,280 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s Degree in a mental health-related field (behavioral health)
  • •Valid unrestricted independent counseling license (state, DC, US territory or commonwealth)
  • •Minimum of two years post-license clinical experience
  • •Ability to engage with military members or children and respond in emergent situations on a military installation
  • •US Citizenship and fluency in English
