Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide physical failure analysis for next-generation products by identifying and communicating failure mechanisms and assisting with root-cause analysis for yield issues.
  • •Delayer failing devices using a variety of wet/dry techniques and perform cross-section analysis using FIB and STEM/TEM, along with SEM top-down analysis.
  • •Generate slice and view images to provide inline process improvement feedback and help engineers isolate root causes.
  • •Collaborate with EFA engineering to quickly identify visual defects for yield issues and interpret/summarize data for corresponding engineers.
  • •Own and maintain PFA tools to maximize uptime and build/improve techniques to shorten time to visualize root causes and identify new failure mechanisms.

Key Requirements

  • •ITE or Diploma in an electronics related field or equivalent experience.
  • •Knowledge of physical failure analysis on semiconductor devices and demonstrated understanding of failure mechanisms and yield issues.
  • •Experience with hands-on physical analysis techniques including delayering with wet/dry techniques and SEM/FIB/TEM workflows.
  • •Ability to generate slice and view images for inline process improvement feedback and present findings clearly in written and verbal form.
