Job Summary

The Procurement Specialist applies knowledge of procurement to support routine assignments, analyzing supplier options, RFQs and vendor performance. You’ll interact with internal teams (PMT, Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Safety, Accounting, Warehouse) and external vendors to ensure compliant, cost-effective procurement, build supplier relationships, and align procurement activities with project needs.

Key Responsibilities

•Procure materials from approved vendors at competitive prices within budget while meeting technical, quality, safety, and delivery requirements stated in requisitions and procurement plans.
•Act as an internal interface with PMT, Engineering, Construction, QA/QC, Safety, Accounting, and Warehouse; interface externally with vendors.
•Procure materials with understanding of requisition requirements, international standards, codes and regulations for projects/operations in the construction industry.
•Assist with procurement strategy development for different project/operations materials; visit vendors to assess capabilities and interface with management.
•Develop and maintain a vendor base, survey the market for new supply sources, monitor market trends, evaluate vendor performance, and manage supplier registration.

Key Requirements

•Engineering graduate with approximately 10 years of relevant procurement experience.
•Broad knowledge of the procurement process and ability to communicate commercial solutions to procurement personnel and non-procurement personnel.
•Support Integrated Procurement worldwide and work with suppliers to develop supplier agreements.
•Understand local and regional logistics regulations and agreements; working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access) and experience with Smart Plant Materials and HR Systems a plus.
•Analyze requisitions and RFQs, maintain vendor base, monitor market trends, and ensure compliance with MDR procedures.
