Job Summary

Join the Governance and Experience (GNE) team to develop and execute data-driven governance strategies for TikTok Shop in Japan. You’ll identify emerging ecosystem risks using large datasets, design policies and enforcement processes, and lead program lifecycles from risk assessment and data modeling to post-launch monitoring. Partner closely with Legal, Product, Engineering, and Business to manage escalations, resolve sensitive issues, and balance platform safety with business growth.

•Develop and iterate on data-driven policies regulating partner behavior, product quality, and ecosystem integrity in Japan.

•Build and optimize implementation processes and enforcement systems to improve accuracy and transparency in platform actions.
•Maintain market insight into Northeast Asia regulatory and industry trends to inform localized governance strategies.
•Lead governance programs end-to-end and handle escalations and resolution for sensitive, high-level issues in coordination with cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements

•Strong bachelor’s or master’s degree in fields such as Engineering, Analytics, Economics, Social Sciences, or Law.

•Ability to analyze large datasets and use data to drive complex decision-making.
•Strong English and Japanese communication skills (written and oral), including explaining complex policy logic.
•First-principles problem solving to navigate ambiguity and implement solutions swiftly in a fast-paced environment.
