Job Summary

Partner with Avery Dennison’s Solutions Group businesses in North America to provide proactive, business-focused legal guidance. Advise senior leaders across commercial, regulatory, compliance, privacy/AI governance, ESG, marketing, antitrust, product liability, EHS, and labor & employment matters. Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts for hardware-software-integrated solutions and digital services, lead legal projects, manage outside counsel, and deliver training to internal clients.

•Serve as a trusted advisor to North American Solutions Group teams on commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters to senior leadership and functional leaders.
•Identify and communicate legal risks and developments in writing and orally, and implement pragmatic legal advice.
•Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including integrated/bundled solution agreements and digital services agreements (e.g., SaaS, terms of use, data rights).
•Lead legal, compliance, and regulatory projects and initiatives, improving legal support processes, templates, and client-facing materials.
•Manage outside counsel on litigation and strategic projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and outside counsel spend.

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: USD 164,000 - 244,900 annually

Key Requirements

•J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
•Licensed to practice law in the state in which the candidate resides.
•8+ years of legal experience.

•Experience conducting or managing litigation.
