Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee safe, compliant and efficient delivery of planned, reactive and billable works to technical standards and value for money.
  • •Manage supply chain performance, review risk assessments and safe systems of work, and ensure compliance with JSP 375, asbestos and legionella requirements.
  • •Support stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor to MOD/DIO representatives, Heads of Establishment and end users.
  • •Manage operational performance, budgets and commercial outcomes across multiple sites, maintaining accurate records in Maximo and completing statutory documentation.
  • •Provide leadership, coaching and technical guidance to develop the team and promote a positive safety culture.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience managing maintenance or estate operations in construction, facilities management or property maintenance, including statutory compliance and safe systems of work.
  • •Confidence leading operational teams and managing contractors across multiple stakeholders while balancing budgets and delivering customer service.
  • •Hold an HND (or equivalent) in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • •Management-level health and safety qualification such as SMSTS.
  • •Experience with JSP 375, MOD environments, Maximo, asbestos and legionella/compliance responsibilities (advantageous).
