Key Responsibilities

•Manage toward brand-level revenue targets and margins, using performance against goals to guide content strategy and resources.
•Oversee day-to-day management of staff, freelance writers, and producers, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
•Pitch, write, edit, and update shopping guides, roundups, and single-item stories across grooming, wellness, fitness, and lifestyle categories.
•Partner with SEO and cross-functional teams to optimize content for search, newsletter, and social while maintaining GQ Recommends’ editorial point of view.
•Build growth strategies across search, email, social, creator, and direct, and help conceive and execute shoppable multi-modal content formats.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 90,000 - 100,000 annually

Key Requirements

•6–7 years of editing experience in a digital media environment, preferably with service journalism and product recommendations.
•Strong understanding of web analytics, SEO, and commerce best practices.
•Familiarity with affiliate platforms and programs, such as Skimlinks and Amazon.
•Proven experience managing editorial staffers, including performance feedback and coaching.
•Ability to produce conversational, accurate commerce stories and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
