Build and operate ultra-high-scale data platform services for a hyper-scale analytics data lake that powers cybersecurity threat hunting and analytics. Own a new graph database and contribute across fault-tolerant Java microservices and high-volume data processing with Spark/Scala, Flink, and custom OLAP/time-series/open-table databases. Key Responsibilities

•Write highly fault-tolerant Java code within Apache Spark, Flink, and custom OLAP/time-series/open table databases to power customer querying of event pipelines and ingestion.
•Design, develop, and maintain ultra-high-scale data platforms processing petabytes of data.
•Participate in technical reviews to develop new features and enhance stability.
•Improve efficiency and reduce latency of high-performance services to delight customers.
•Research and implement new ways for internal stakeholders and customers to query data efficiently and retrieve results in desired formats.

Key Requirements

•BS in a technical field (CS, IT, Computer Engineering) or equivalent 4+ years of experience.
•10+ years combined backend/cloud development and data platform engineering experience.
•5+ years building data platform products/features with Apache Spark, Flink, or Ray, or at-scale implementations of time-series/OLAP/open-table databases (e.g., Pinot, Clickhouse, Druid, Iceberg).
•5+ years programming with Java, Scala, or Kotlin (Python acceptable with relevant experience).
•In-depth performance tuning knowledge across JVM languages or Apache systems (Spark, Flink, Ray, Pinot, Druid, Iceberg).
