Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when needed, and return equipment to designated areas.
  • •Maintain signed invoices and shipping paperwork (bills of lading), and deliver documentation to the shipping office after route completion.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state, appropriate for the vehicle weight operated.
  • •Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations.
  • •Must pass DOT physical, as trucks driven are over 10k lbs.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff at delivery points.
