Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage professional employees and supervisors in the Commissioning Department, accountable for performance and results.
  • •Provide administrative and technical management of commissioning activities, including leading technical execution and managing departmental plans and priorities.
  • •Coordinate commissioning work across other disciplines, offices, fabrication, and construction to meet project requirements.
  • •Ensure compliance with McDermott policies and procedures and verify training completion for self and teams.
  • •Lead reviews, corrective actions, staffing/resource planning, and continuous improvement initiatives; prepare/approve man-hours estimates and maintain relevant systems.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
  • •15+ years of experience with proven leadership experience in oil and gas with a major contractor or consultant.
  • •Proven role in at least three major projects in oil and gas or chemical process industry, demonstrating broad commissioning and start-up technical knowledge.
  • •Effective communication skills for relationships with discipline managers, technical engineers, and non-engineers; presentation skills required.
  • •Good English skills (oral and written) and strong computer software skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
