Key Responsibilities

  • •Review Contractor/Design-Builder Health and Safety Plan submittals, identify trends and concerns, and provide safety program oversight through reporting, audits, inspections, and training.
  • •Perform regular inspections and audits of the project safety program and prepare daily reports with photos and safety observations, findings, deficiencies, and corrective measures.
  • •Confirm compliance with OSHA, NYC Fire Department (FDNY), NYC Department of Building (NYCDOB), local laws, and applicable regulations; implement project-specific safety programs.
  • •Conduct accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, perform root cause analysis, and develop recommendations to prevent recurrences.
  • •Conduct safety risk reviews and coordinate with Resident Engineers, client safety representatives, integrity monitors, stakeholders, insurance brokers, and affiliated representatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 11 years of construction safety oversight experience, including investigations and accident prevention at construction sites or related fields.
  • •High School Diploma.
  • •OSHA 30-hour construction safety certificate.
  • •Experience as the head of safety on at least one transit or commuter rail project.
  • •Track Safety Trained for NYCT and at least 90 days prior NYCT Right of Way (ROW) experience with flagging and diversions of service.
