Key Responsibilities

  • •Oversee validation of products and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • •Monitor and assess construction performance and ensure compliance with construction documentation requirements.
  • •Manage inspection work in progress and ensure methods, materials, and equipment conform to approved standards.
  • •Lead project Document Control, including reviews of daily status reports, progress schedules, shop drawing submittals, RFIs, and contractor change orders; incorporate change orders into records.
  • •Coordinate with the General Contractor on required meetings, tests, and inspections; review punch lists, pay applications, and condition of off-site stored materials for Owner approval.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Architecture, Building Science, Engineering, or Construction Management, plus six years of experience or demonstrated equivalency.
  • •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation skills.
  • •Preferred experience collaborating with peers and District of Columbia agencies or Federal government in the DC Metro area.
  • •Previous work experience managing budgets for construction projects.
  • •Previous experience in a leadership role with strong and proven leadership skills.
