Job Summary

Provide technical leadership for early-stage substation development supporting large-scale data center infrastructure projects. Lead development and review of electrical infrastructure designs, including one-line diagrams, grounding and lightning protection, and electrical calculations for loads, short-circuit studies, and protective device coordination. Coordinate multidisciplinary teams through concept to design handoff, develop plans/specs/cost estimates, and ensure compliance with IEEE/NESC/ANSI/NCEC/NERC standards and client and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•Collect, compile, and analyze site and engineering data (including blueprints/GIS) to support design and procurement package development.
•Coordinate, review, and approve electrical infrastructure design plans to ensure compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
•Perform complex substation electrical engineering work, including single-line/three-line diagrams, substation layout, grounding grid, and lightning protection design.
•Review electrical calculations (loads, equipment sizing, touch/step potentials, short-circuit study, protective device coordination, protective relaying).
•Oversee and monitor multidisciplinary teams across design and construction phases, including budgets, technical calculations, permits, compliance documentation, and safety plans.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
•7+ years of substation design experience.
•Engineer license required.
