Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design, development, and deployment of data engineering pipelines and solutions using strong software engineering practices.
  • •Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business SMEs to deliver critical data pipelines and workflows for data-driven outcomes.
  • •Ensure proper architecture, security, exception handling, testing, and adherence to code development standards across Digital Technologies.
  • •Develop and maintain data workflows and pipelines for ML and algorithm deployment and chemical manufacturing use cases (predictive maintenance, reliability, downtime prevention, industrial automation, forecasting, health and safety).
  • •Design and develop technical platforms, frameworks, and applications that provide data, business intelligence, and information, and support training for other engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field (MS strongly preferred; PhD preferred).
  • •Senior Data Engineer: 4+ years hands-on software development with a PhD, or 6+ years with an MS, or 8+ years with a BS.
  • •Principal Data Engineer: 7+ years hands-on software development with a PhD, or 9+ years with an MS, or 11+ years with a BS.
  • •Strong Python, JavaScript, and/or Java skills; strong experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and/or PostgreSQL.
  • •Experience building software engineering oriented data engineering systems (stream processing, dbt, ETL, messaging) plus Linux/Unix, Git, and testing frameworks.
