Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for the vector database and core search use cases, from indexing internals to developer APIs and SDKs.
  • •Conduct market research on search/vector database trends and SOTA model research for unstructured data management.
  • •Evaluate competition, develop user personas, and translate customer feedback and market demand into prioritized feature decisions.
  • •Partner with engineering and applied research to define trade-offs and align roadmap assumptions across model and index decisions.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • •8+ years in product management, with significant time on technical infrastructure, databases, search, or ML/AI platforms.
  • •Working knowledge of vector search fundamentals, including embeddings, ANN indexing, similarity metrics, and recall/latency trade-offs, plus hybrid retrieval.
  • •Working knowledge of generative models, model fine tuning, model capabilities, and document processing for large corpora.
