Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive strategic change initiatives within the Financial Accounting & Reporting team to improve control frameworks and front-to-back processes across P&L and Balance Sheet lifecycle.
  • •Lead month-end close activities for market products, including FO-ARE reconciliation, FO-to-GL reconciliations, journal postings, cash breaks management, and balance sheet substantiation.
  • •Articulate accounting events through T-accounts and collaborate with accounting policy and implementation teams on policy and system design.
  • •Develop data-driven requirements, user stories, and discussions from complex market product datasets to support change initiatives.
  • •Provide SME guidance on governance, risk mitigation, and control-oriented perspectives in change projects.

Key Requirements

  • •3–5 years of hands-on experience within a Product Control (PC) function, Financial reporting or Financial accounting with a total professional background spanning 5–10 years.
  • •Familiarity with accounting standards IAS 32/39, IFRS 7, IFRS 9 and understanding of business models and accounting treatments.
  • •Month-End Close: reconciling FO systems to ARE, FO-to-GL reconciliations, journal entries, cash breaks and nostro-vostro controls, balance sheet substantiation.
  • •Understanding major lifecycle events of financial products and their accounting implications (Product Lifecycle Awareness).
  • •Change Management experience as a Business Analyst or SME; data-driven mindset for working with market product datasets and translating insights into requirements.
