Job Summary

Strengthen and protect the controlled substance compliance program by conducting Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews, performing on-site customer visits, and investigating suspicious order activity. Analyze customer risk, maintain inspection-ready documentation, and monitor Suspicious Order Monitoring (SOM) and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with DEA and applicable state requirements. Partner with pharmacy customers and internal teams to deliver well-supported recommendations and continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) evaluations for pharmacy customers.
•Perform on-site customer visits to assess compliance practices and validate business operations.
•Investigate suspicious order activity by analyzing purchasing patterns and documentation, and provide risk-based recommendations.
•Partner with pharmacists and pharmacy personnel to gather information, resolve compliance questions, and support investigative findings.
•Monitor Suspicious Order Monitoring (SOM) activity, regulatory reporting, and customer accounts to identify diversion risks and ensure compliance.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, investigations, pharmacy operations, law enforcement, or a related field.
•Experience as a DEA investigator, State Board of Pharmacy investigator, regulatory investigator, or pharmaceutical compliance professional is highly preferred.
•Working knowledge of DEA regulations, controlled substance compliance, or pharmaceutical distribution.
•Excellent investigative, analytical, and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex information from multiple sources.
•Ability to manage multiple investigations and customer interactions with strong integrity, discretion, and attention to detail.
