Job Summary

Conduct independent credit risk reviews within the second line of defense, validating and adjusting risk ratings for loan and underwriting quality. Partner with a team of reviewers to perform periodic and continuous file and portfolio reviews, identify problem exposures and trends, and assess adherence to internal credit policies plus applicable laws and regulations. Lead reviews and ad-hoc projects, produce written conclusions and recommendations, and advise junior teammates using credit review methodologies and regulatory expectations.

•Perform individual credit file reviews to validate and, if necessary, adjust risk ratings.
•Conduct active, comprehensive credit risk intelligence to support loan sample selection.
•Identify loans with potential or well-defined weaknesses and analyze trends affecting portfolio quality.
•Evaluate adequacy and adherence to internal credit policies and procedures, and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
•Lead reviews/portfolios as needed and write reports with conclusions and recommendations; advise junior team members.

Key Requirements

•Assign risk ratings independently using external regulatory guidance and internal risk rating methodologies.
•Assess client creditworthiness and complete independent financial analysis.
•Use advanced business writing to deliver findings and credit risk matters to senior management.
•Prioritize and execute multiple assignments, communicate delays, and delegate work when necessary.
•Demonstrate 6-12 years of credit experience in Payments and/or Counterparty Credit Risk (preferred).
