Key Responsibilities

•Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow-up repairs on light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
•Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical/brake/cooling systems, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and related components.
•Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using handheld test instruments and road-test vehicles to verify repairs.
•Independently manage parts inventory and the service trucks equipment, and perform periodic reconciliation.
•Document work, upload photos of RO findings, and communicate with management and clients to discuss repair estimates and RO findings notes

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma/GED and 3 years7 experience in a related field
•Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties
•Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months
•This position follows regulations issued by the Department of Transportations (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment
•A current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until its expiration may be submitted in leu of a DOT physical. If the DOT medical card has four (4) months or less of validity remaining, a DOT physical will be required
