Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide substantial technical expertise of fire engineering from first principles through large-scale projects.
  • •Lead fire engineering projects from concept stage through building occupation.
  • •Manage project and client relationships across a variety of markets.
  • •Develop performance-based fire engineering strategies for a wide range of buildings and infrastructure projects.
  • •Mentor team members and support competency building and professional accreditation where appropriate.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years’ experience as a Fire Safety Engineer.
  • •A relevant Engineering qualification (preferably in Fire Engineering).
  • •Thorough understanding of the Building Code of Australia and the Australian Fire Engineering Guidelines.
  • •Proven record leading fire engineering projects and negotiations with approval authorities to gain acceptance of performance-based design.
  • •Experience preparing Performance Based Design Briefs, Fire Engineering Reports, and Fire Engineering Strategies.
