Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform hands-on assembly, integration, inspection, and rework of spacecraft flight hardware.
  • •Manage, mentor, and develop AIT Technicians with regular feedback, coaching, and support.
  • •Assemble and integrate mechanical and electrical spacecraft hardware using drawings, instructions, and controlled processes.
  • •Inspect completed work and support peer inspections to ensure engineering, workmanship, and quality requirements are met.
  • •Identify and escalate technical or quality issues, support root cause investigations and corrective actions, and partner with engineering and quality to resolve them.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of hands-on experience assembling and integrating spacecraft or aerospace hardware.
  • •Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and/or managing technicians in an assembly or production environment.
  • •Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly skills with high-reliability workmanship standards.
  • •Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, 3D models, and detailed work instructions.
