Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment across electrical, brake/cooling, starters/alternators, air conditioning, engine electronics, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions; road test vehicles to verify issues.
  • •Maintain and operate the company-issued service vehicle, including safety checks and pre-/post-trip inspections.
  • •Document work and upload photos/parts/findings on Repair Orders using a company iOS device and TRAIT app; manage parts inventory and reconcile periodically.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience (or alternative combination such as 5 years related experience).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform the role.
  • •Obtain ASE certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • •Pass DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical (or submit a current DOT medical card with sufficient remaining validity).
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license; maintain a Driver Qualification File.
