Job Summary

Manage daily U.S. indirect tax operations for sales and use tax compliance, including review of returns, filing support, and maintaining an internal compliance calendar. Lead day-to-day compliance work with external service providers, enhance processes through controls, automation, efficiency, and analytics, and support tax audits and controversies. Partner with Finance, AR/AP/GL, and Tax/Technology teams to support new product launches, taxability analysis, reconciliation, and multi-state audit issues.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage recurring and non-recurring indirect tax functions, including review of tax returns and day-to-day compliance operations for U.S. jurisdictions.
•Maintain the indirect tax calendar and manage external service providers to ensure timely, accurate reporting and remittance.
•Identify, document, and implement compliance process enhancements and operational improvements using controls, automation, efficiency, and analytics.
•Support tax audits and tax controversies, including complex multi-state tax audits and issues.
•Partner with Finance Business Partners and AR/AP/GL teams on tax account review and reconciliation, and support data collection, taxability analysis, and product launch activities.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree or higher in Taxation, Accounting, or a related field.
•5 years of indirect state and tax experience focused on U.S. sales and use taxes.
•Strong technical knowledge of U.S. indirect tax, especially sales and use tax.
•Experience handling indirect tax work in a public accounting firm, Government, and/or a U.S. multinational company.
•Ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and work effectively with stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
